Each session is available in 60, 90, or 120-minute durations — except TMJ (60 minutes only) and Jirat Signature Mobility & Cupping Therapy (90 or 120 minutes only).

What is Thai Bodywork Stretching?

Thai Bodywork Stretching is a therapeutic blend of traditional Thai massage and assisted yoga-like stretches. It works along the body's energy lines (sen lines) to release tension, improve flexibility, and restore balance. Sessions are performed fully clothed on a comfortable floor mat — no oils required.

It's the most comprehensive treatment we offer and ideal for first-time visitors who want to experience the full range of Jirat's expertise.

Do you offer prenatal massage?

Yes. Our Pregnancy Massage is designed specifically for expectant mothers from the second trimester onward. It uses a nurturing side-lying position with gentle techniques to ease lower back discomfort, reduce swelling, and promote deep relaxation for both mother and baby. Please inform us of your pregnancy stage when booking.

What is Jirat Signature Mobility & Cupping Therapy and what does it feel like?

Jirat Signature Mobility & Cupping Therapy combines targeted dry cupping, therapeutic bodywork, controlled movement, and Thai-assisted stretching into one customized session. While the cups remain gently attached, you may be guided through slow, controlled movements selected for your individual needs. Thai stretching techniques are then incorporated to encourage flexibility, body awareness, and an overall sense of balance. Temporary circular marks from cupping are normal and may remain visible for several days. Most clients describe the sensation as a deep pulling pressure — unusual but not painful. Recommended for muscular tightness, limited mobility, active lifestyles, and post-workout recovery.

Can you help with jaw pain and TMJ issues?

Yes. Our Jaw Releasing (TMJ) treatment is a specialized 60-minute session targeting the jaw, face, neck, and scalp. It uses gentle intraoral and extraoral techniques to relieve tension associated with TMJ dysfunction, teeth grinding (bruxism), and stress-related jaw clenching. Many clients notice significant relief after a single session.

How long are the sessions and what do they cost?

Most treatments are available in three durations: 60 minutes ($160), 90 minutes ($240), and 120 minutes ($320). The Jaw Releasing (TMJ) treatment is offered as a 60-minute session only at $160. Longer sessions allow for a more thorough treatment and deeper relaxation.

What are your hours?

We are open Monday through Sunday, 10:00 AM to 9:00 PM. Last appointments begin at 9:00 PM and end by 10:00 PM. We recommend booking in advance, especially for evenings and weekends, as availability fills quickly.

We are located at 18 West 33rd St, Floor 2 Room 3, New York, NY 10001 — steps from Penn Station and Herald Square. The building is easily accessible by subway (A/C/E, 1/2/3, B/D/F/M, N/Q/R/W lines) and is ADA accessible.

What is your cancellation policy?

Can I request a specific therapist?

Jirat Thai Wellness is a solo practice — all sessions are performed by Jirat, our founder and lead therapist. You will always receive the same expert, personalized care at every visit.

Question 13

What should I wear to my appointment?

Accepted Answer

For Thai Bodywork Stretching, wear or bring comfortable, loose-fitting clothing — athletic wear or yoga pants work well. For oil-based treatments (Swedish, Deep Tissue, Signature Modern Thai, etc.), you will be draped with a sheet and only the area being worked on will be uncovered. We provide everything you need.

Question 14

Should I arrive early for my first visit?

Yes — we recommend arriving 5–10 minutes early for your first appointment. This gives you time to complete a brief intake form, discuss any areas of concern or health conditions with Jirat, and settle in before your session begins. Your treatment time starts at your scheduled appointment time.

Question 15

Is there anything I should do before my massage?

Accepted Answer

Avoid eating a heavy meal within 1–2 hours of your appointment. Stay hydrated before and after your session. Avoid alcohol on the day of your treatment. If you have any injuries, medical conditions, or are pregnant, please let us know when booking so we can tailor the session appropriately.

Who is Jirat and what are her qualifications?

Jirat is the founder and sole therapist at Jirat Thai Wellness, with 19 years of experience — 6 years training and practicing in Thailand and 13 years in the United States. She holds a 500-hour California massage education certification, over 200 hours of continuing education, and is CAMTC (California Massage Therapy Council) certified. In 2025, she placed 4th in a Hawaii massage therapy competition.
